Welcome to the ISU TechZone Computer Buying Guide. The purpose of this guide is to help you, the consumer, make an educated decision on purchasing a new computer. This guide serves as a resource of answers for many commonly asked questions. While this guide will never replace the experience of coming in to the TechZone personally, we hope that it will help make the experience of purchasing a computer online better and easier.
The Computer Buying Guide contains information that will help the consumer make educated purchasing decisions; as such, the consumer may use the guide in any capacity they wish. Some prefer to read the guide in its entirety in a single sitting, while others refer to it in a "checklist" manner while looking at the options during the purchasing process.
This guide is structured to work for everyone: while it is a good read from beginning to end, it is also broken up into parts, so that you may go to a specific question or category at a moment's notice.
