TechZone, a department of Illinois State University, offers discounts and buying assistance to all members of the University community on personal computers, software, peripherals, and supplies. We can help you order everything from complete computer systems to extra ink cartridges for your printer. TechZone is not a traditional computer store with rows of inventory. Although we do stock popular convenience items such as Microsoft Office Professional ($70 for students), ethernet cables, and LiveText, most products are ordered online with our vendor partners. Vendors include: Apple, CDW-G, Crucial Technology, Dell, Lenovo, GovConnection, Microsoft, and in-stock products available at the TechZone Showroom.

TechZone Showroom and administrative offices are conveniently located in the Bone Student Center on the 2nd floor. The Showroom has many current-model notebook and desktop computer systems to test drive in person. Our friendly staff is available to offer advice and assistance with placing orders. For computer buyers that do not enjoy the process of configuring their new computer system, TechZone offers a very popular service we call the TechZone Setup and Configuration. For only $50 your new computer can be delivered to TechZone and we will download and install all of the latest Windows or Mac operating system updates, install and configure the software suite recommended by Illinois State University (includes virus software), configure e-mail clients, and install 3rd party software you own such as Microsoft Office. Computers can be picked up at the TechZone Showroom and our staff is able to deliver the equipment to your car!
